Please pass the salt.

I took a biology class recently where the professor stated, without reservation, “man-made global warming is an undisputed fact”. The first time he said it, I suggested that maybe the scientists who are convinced it is our fault, (I didn’t mention that I don’t think it is even happening outside the normal course of the world.) are wrong about it because in the 70’s they said we were headed for another ice-age. He responded with (and I’m not kidding here), “it is an undisputed fact”.

That’s it?

Yep that’s it.


The second time, I brought up a similar but different argument about the regular cycles of the planet, and he drew a line jetting upwards and explained that the world does go through cycles, but the cycle that we are in now is higher than the regular cycle we should be in at this time. The reason for that is all the extra carbon in the air. So just more of the same. But he also said, “Don’t worry about it though, there is nothing we can do about it now.”

Okay, done. I am officially not worried about it anymore.

Now if we can just convince everyone else that this fiction cannot be fixed I will be happy with that. So instead of trying to get people to see that it isn’t our fault, I just want them to stop thinking taxing America will fix it, because it cannot be fixed. We have doomed our children to a life of desert living, or WaterWorld. It depends what scientist you listen to as far as what the future really holds for all you greedy Amerikans, but one thing is certain; we will all become cannibals, clinging to our empty guns and saving our bibles, when we could be starting fires with the pages for cooking what little people-meat we have left.
