Happy Earth Day!

To celebrate Earth Day this year I have decided to stop sitting on the sidelines and do something. I decided to really go all out by doing these 10 things:

  1. I am leaving my car running all day long, A/C at full blast. (Don’t worry it is locked so no one steals it, thanks for your concern.)
  2. Every light in my house was left on.
  3. Every TV, stereo, and cable box in my house is on.
  4. I have one of those drinking birds on my kitchen counter that is tapping my garage door remote to make the door go up and down all day.
  5. Either my A/C or my heater will be running constantly all day. I will cool it off when it gets to 72 and heat it when it gets to 68.
  6. The hose outside is pointed in the gutter with the water on full-blast.
  7. Every faucet in the house is running and will be all day.
  8. I weighted down the float in my toilet tanks so water will run all day there too.
  9. My fire pit in the back yard is full of coal and the boy is keeping it stoked.
  10. Throwing my old electronics on a pile of burning tires on my back patio.

See how I sacrifice? This is going to cost me a fortune in gas, electricity, and water; not to mention wearing out my stuff. You can only make a garage door go up and down so many times before it has to be replaced, and those tires are brand spankin' new!

Happy Earth Day everyone!

  1. I love the way you celebrate Earth Day but you could do more if you could just find somewhere to buy carbon ONsets.
